REO Speedwagon
REO Speedwagon has been one of the most enduring, best-selling American rock bands for three decades,
with many chart hits and platinum albums to their credit. Hailing from the Midwest, the group emerged in
the late 1970s with such classic rock hits as “Ridin’ The Storm Out” and “Roll With The Changes,” then
continued their hit success throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s, releasing such multi-platinum albums as Hi
Infidelity, Nine Lives, Good Trouble and Wheels Are Turnin’. To this day, REO remains a vital and active band,
touring steadily worldwide, recording new material, and attracting new fans.
The REO Speedwagon song catalog is full of memorable, rock & pop standards, which remain highly popular
and in great demand into the new millennium. The enclosed REO CD contains the band’s biggest hits, including
“Keep On Loving You” (which went to #1), “Take It On The Run” and Don’t Let Him Go,” from their blockbuster
Hi Fidelity album, which became one of the biggest-selling albums of the ‘80s. The CD also contains
their #1 smash “Can’t Fight This Feeling” (from Wheels Are Turnin’), along with such major hits as “Keep The
Fire Burnin’” (from Good Trouble), “In My Dreams” and “That Ain’t Love” (from Life As We Know It), and “Here
With Me”. Other notable REO songs contained on the CD are “Time For Me To Fly” and “Keep Pushin’”.
The main songwriter of REO is lead vocalist/guitarist Kevin Cronin, who joined the band in the ‘70s and has
been REO’s leader ever since. Cronin wrote the majority of the
group’s songs (including most of the hits on this CD), and his
distinctive, passionate lead vocals also helped define the band’s
trademark sound. In addition, during the ‘70s and ‘80s, lead
guitarist Gary Richrath was a key member of the group, and he
wrote the hits “Take It On The Run” and “Ridin’ The Storm Out.”
Other longtime members of REO who remain with the group, are
keyboardist Neal Doughty, bassist Bruce Hall, drummer Bryan
Hitt and lead guitarist Dave Amato.
