Since then, under the philosophy of “promoting culture to inspire people,” we have journeyed through our productions with our audience, sharing joy and tears alike. We have expanded into many business fields; discovering and cultivating a diverse range of talent and promoting events. In February 1989, HORIPRO became the first publicity traded entertainers/artists management company in Japan, eventually listed in the 2nd Section then the 1st Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in March 1997, and September 2002, respectively.

Using HORIPRO’s extensive experience in the entertainment business, the Sales Department plans and produces concerts, shows and other events featuring a variety of singers and entertainers.
The Spots and Culture Management Department conducts strategic management and promotional activities designed to effectively express identities and develop the personal appeal of high-profile athletes and cultural leaders.
HORIPRO’s Visual Content divisions create high-quality TV commercials and programs which are delivered to an increasingly diversified landscape of new media. From initial conceptualization to final production, HORIPRO’s distinctive creative approach to planning and casting result in high quality projects ranging from TV dramas variety shows to commercials and multimedia programs.
With a desire to stay at the forefront of technology, HORIPRO works on creating innovations in music software. Having produced many top artists spanning a wide variety of ages, our Music Production Department makes full use of its experiences and know-how in music-related planning – including music CD production, new music software planning, as well as designing and producing concerts featuring HORIPRO artists.MUSIC PUBLISHING DEPARTMENT
The Music Publishing Department manages and promotes copyrights and master discs from a large collection of lyrics and music. Continually looking to secure greater efficiency in copyright management for effective business development, the department carries out the copyright business directly linked to the company’s interests.
The Theatrical Production Department stages high-quality productions in all genres of the performing arts, from dramas and ballets to musicals and concerts for a wide range of audiences.
The Licensing Department supplies artist-related content via mobile phones and e-commerce, while endeavoring the character licensing business. The department also aims at making cultural contributions by promoting artwork.
Set up to effectively promote entertainers and artists through strategically timed advertising, the department seeks for maximum exposure of our entertainers’ features in all print media including newspapers and magazines. The prompt collection and analysis of information are the keys to HORIPRO’s effective publicity and advertising activities.
Utilizing HoriPro’s knowledge and experience in discovering gifted individuals, the HoriPro Improvement Academy aims to discover new talent at an early age, then develop that talent. The Academy also offers variety of programs such as “Meguro Shobaijuku,” a course for comedians, and “Idol Dog Club 1111,” a membership club for dogs.
The Corporate Planning Department communicates our new public image and clarifies our group vision for the future, aiming to further enhance the HORIPRO group’s growth potential, profitability, and corporate value. Various corporate management initiatives are proposed and implemented.
